9 – 12 –”HANK THE COWDOG” presented by The Poncan Theatre’s
Evans Children’s Academy. This endearing tale is by Oklahoma
author John R. Erickson, and will be performed by area youth
from 2nd grade through high school. Guts, glory, danger and
sacrifice are all in a day’s work for Hank the Cowdog, Head of
Ranch Security. Missy Coyote. Showtime is 7:30 nightly, and 3:00
for the Sunday Matinee.

The Poncan Theatre has entertained and enthralled audiences for over eighty years. She was designed by the preeminent theatre designers, the Boller Brothers and is an excellent example of their Spanish Colonial Revival style. The Poncan Theatre has been restored to represent her original 1927 look, but modernized for today’s use. She has played host to sellout musical reviews, standing room only shows as well as events sponsored by the Ponca City Arts and Humanities Council and the Ponca City Concert Series. The Poncan Theatre is the proud host to her signature events, the Evans Children’s Performing Arts Academy, the Poncan Theatrical Season and the Poncan Opry.
